"HydroRide is not only a transportation tool, but a toy that brings laughter to such stressful environment. "

In the refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya, kids must walk several kilometers under the burning sun to fetch water in plastic jerry cans from the boreholes. HydroRide, a water transportation toy car, is designed to provide a playful and convenient way to carry water for refugee kids. It’s not only a tool, but a toy that brings laughter to such stressful environment.

As shown on the map, the average distance from the residential area to the borehole is about 2.5km, whereas could be further as 5km for some blocks. In addition, there are not much entertainment and children’s mental status under the stressing and chaotic environment shall receive more attention.
